Does the lock work if my WiFi or internet goes down?

Yes. Fingerprint, PIN code, NFC card, and backup key access all work locally without an internet connection. Remote app control and alerts require WiFi, but your physical access methods are never dependent on connectivity.

How many fingerprints and PIN codes can I store?

Up to 100 fingerprints and 100 PIN codes. Each entry can be named and managed individually in the Tuya SmartLife app, making it easy to add or revoke access for specific people at any time.

What door thicknesses does this lock fit?

This lock fits doors between 35 mm and 65 mm thick, covering the vast majority of Australian residential and light commercial doors. Check your door thickness before purchasing if unsure.

How long do the batteries last and what happens when they run low?

Expect approximately 6–12 months from 4 standard AA batteries under normal use. The lock sends a low-battery push notification well in advance. If completely flat, you can power the lock temporarily via the USB-C port using a portable battery pack to enter a PIN and replace the batteries.

Can I give temporary access to an Airbnb guest or tradesperson?

Yes. In the Tuya SmartLife app you can create time-limited PIN codes valid for a specific date range, day of week, or time window. Access automatically expires — no need to change your code after every guest.

Is this lock compatible with Alexa and Google Home?

Yes. The lock integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Home via the Tuya platform, enabling voice commands to lock the door. For security reasons, unlocking via voice is disabled by default but can be enabled in the app.
